Elderly Due to age, the organs are weakened, the physical constitution is poor, the kidney yang is insufficient, the middle qi is depressed, and the bladder is inactive, resulting in frequent urination. Some elderly people even dare not visit relatives and friends, travel, or engage in social activities because of frequent urination. According to the characteristics of the elderly and combined with clinical experience, traditional Chinese medicine can be used to strengthen the kidneys and reduce defecation to treat frequent urination in the elderly, with good results.
Particularly frequent nocturia, ranging from two or three times to seven or eight times. Some elderly people even urinate more during the night than during the day. Disturbed sleep may make you more likely to catch a cold or induce other diseases. It is often accompanied by symptoms such as soreness and weakness in the waist and knees, aversion to cold, cold limbs, mental fatigue, and tinnitus.
Elderly people with frequent nocturia should be careful about eating cold and smooth fruits and vegetables. Especially for dinner, they should avoid winter melon, cabbage, macaroni, loofah, zucchini, dried cabbage and their soups. They should eat less white radish and the like that are easy to get wet or cause digestion, and use less fruits such as pears and bananas. Elderly people with excessive nocturia are best to use diet therapy to recuperate their spleen and kidneys first. You can cook the following dishes in turn every week.
(1) Fried leeks with walnuts. Fry 30 grams of walnut kernels in oil, stir in 200 grams of chopped leeks and some shrimp, and season with salt to serve. It can nourish the kidneys and strengthen yang.
(2) Stewed silkworm chrysalis. Take 25 grams each of silkworm chrysalis and walnut kernels, 15 grams each of Gorgon fruit and Codonopsis pilosula, 5 ginkgo (gingko), and 1 piece of ginger, stew and take it. It can nourish the lungs, spleen and kidneys, reduce urination and warm the waist.
(3) Bamboo shredded chicken soup. Take 1/4 chicken and peel it, stir-fry 10 grams of Morinda officinalis (available in Chinese pharmacies) with salt water, stir-fry 15 grams of Eucommia ulmoides in salt water (destroy the Eucommia gum to facilitate the flavor of the medicinal materials), and 15 grams of Huaiyam. Make a soup with all the ingredients and take them. It can nourish kidney yang and is warm but not dry.
(4) Pork belly soup. One pig belly (bladder), 20 grams each of lotus seed meat and gordon fruit, 6 grams of Pangasius slices or 3 grams of Pangasius powder, half a piece of tangerine peel, make soup or stew and take it. It can nourish the spleen and strengthen the kidney, disperse stasis and reduce urine.
