Currently, there is no unified question bank for children's safety and first aid training on the market. The core design is centered around the two core designs of "pre-risk prevention" and "emergency rescue". It will be flexibly adjusted according to different training audiences and scenarios. The proportion of scenario-based questions without standard answers is now increasing.
I have been doing this for almost 7 years, and I just conducted a special training for child care workers in Puhui Kindergarten in the community last week. The first practical question asked was "The lunch break inspection found that the middle class child had a whole cherry tomato stuck in it. There are no first aid tools at hand, and there are other awakened children around. How do you deal with it?" It not only tests the movement standards of the Heimlich maneuver, but also tests whether you can quickly call other teachers to come and take care of the remaining children. It is much more practical than just testing the knowledge points. If it is for early childhood education who need to take the first aid qualification certificate, the test questions will be more rigorous. For example, the compression depth of children's cardiopulmonary resuscitation must strictly comply with the standard in the "Chinese Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Training Guidelines" that "the compression depth of children is 1/3 of the front-to-back diameter of the thorax, about 4-5 centimeters", and there will be no deviation questions that deviate from practical practice.
If it were a popular training for ordinary parents, the questions would not require such detailed operational requirements. Instead, they would focus on cognitive correction. For example, the frequently asked multiple-choice question "Which of the following practices is likely to induce foreign bodies in the airway of children aged 1-3 years old? A. Feed whole nuts. B. Use a food supplement machine to make rice paste. C. Cut small pieces of apples for children to grab and eat." Almost 30% of parents choose the wrong answer almost every time.
When it comes to the design of test questions, there are many differences in the industry. For example, should there be practical test questions for children under 6 years old? Many children's education experts feel that young children have little strength and limited understanding, and cannot master the standard strength of Heimlich and children's cardiopulmonary resuscitation. The test questions are purely useless. It is better to test more practical content such as "Which uniformed person to call for help when in danger" and "What information should be reported when calling 120"; but most of our front-line training staff feel that , even if the child's movements are not standard, it never hurts to practice and form muscle memory in advance. Last year, we conducted training for the first grade of elementary school and took the "What to do if a family member faints" test. Two months later, parents reported that they had fainted due to hypoglycemia at home. Although the child could not press the chest, he remembered to call 120 to report home, and he also slapped his face to call people. It was not much better than anything else.
The training questions in different scenarios are also very different. For example, in safety training for research institutions, there will be many questions about how to deal with group hazards, such as "Three children were stung by wasps at the same time while hiking. One of them showed signs of laryngeal edema. Which one do you deal with first?" If you are doing training for parent-child centers, there will also be questions. There are many interactive questions that allow parents and children to simulate the process of dealing with burns and electric shocks. Last time, a father blurted out, "If you get burned, put toothpaste first." He was corrected on the spot by his own child who had just entered the senior class. "The teacher said to shower with cold water for 15 minutes first!" The audience burst into laughter, but everyone remembered this knowledge point.
In fact, in the final analysis, the core of the questions is never to fail the students, but to enable everyone to really remember the operation logic and use it when they encounter problems. This is much more meaningful than getting a perfect score in the exam.
