Beijing Traditional Chinese Medicine and five other traditional Chinese medicine colleges established a cooperative alliance
On the afternoon of December 22, the signing ceremony of "Creating a World-Class University of Chinese Medicine Cooperation Alliance" was held grandly at Beijing University of Chinese Medicine. It was announced that Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, Shanghai University of Chinese Medicine, Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine, Chengdu University of Chinese Medicine, and Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine have officially established a five-school alliance. While collaboratively cultivating cutting-edge Chinese medicine talents, realizing exchanges and mutual recruitment of scholars, they will also jointly establish a large database of Chinese medicine and realize the sharing of advantageous resources between schools. Xu Anlong, president of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, will serve as the first chairman of the alliance.
Xu Anlong elaborated in his speech that the important work content of the five-school alliance at this stage is as follows:
First, the alliance will work together to establish a collaborative innovation center for traditional Chinese medicine health affairs. Each of the five universities will provide financial support of 5 million each year to promote the construction of the collaborative innovation center;
Second, coordinate the nine-year training of top talents in traditional Chinese medicine;
Third, students at the five universities can share courses and recognize each other’s credits;
Fourth, realize the exchange, exchange and recruitment of scholars and promote the sharing of outstanding Chinese medicine talents;
Fifth, realize the sharing of libraries, networks and research laboratories, and open academic resources;
Sixth, jointly establish a big database of traditional Chinese medicine and establish standardized, information-based big data, including clinical data;
Seventh, realize the sharing of the world's superior resources of traditional Chinese medicine and form a joint force to promote the internationalization of traditional Chinese medicine.
President Xu Anlong also said that the alliance is an open, interactive and service platform, and hopes to become an important platform for the development of traditional Chinese medicine schools across the country as well as the development of traditional Chinese medicine and other disciplines in the future. In addition, four other presidents of the alliance universities also made important speeches at the ceremony. Ms. Lu Guohui, Director of the Personnel and Education Department of the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, attended the meeting and spoke highly of the establishment of the alliance.
