Peeling of the glans penis is mainly caused by inflammatory factors. This kind of inflammation requires men to pay attention to the hygiene of the penis and avoid scratching the skin of the penis with hands. If the foreskin is too long, it can be removed surgically, and antibiotics or anti-inflammatory drugs can be used for treatment. Ointments suitable for treating glans peeling include clotrimazole ointment or erythromycin ointment. When choosing these ointments, pay attention to the dosage and usage.
Peeling of the glans penis may be caused by the following diseases:
(1) Foreskin is too long:
It is usually more common in men with excessive foreskin. If the foreskin is too long and a large amount of smegma is formed, infection will occur and peeling will occur, accompanied by symptoms such as itching and odor.
(2) Candidal balanitis:
Candida infection is a conditional pathogenic fungus. It often manifests as glans mucosal erythema, local edema, swelling, mild desquamation of the edges, and papules and small abscesses that may spread to all sides to cause glans erosion.
(3) Acute edematous balanitis:
The peeling of the glans penis is accompanied by obvious itching. When the urethra is involved, frequent urination and urgency may occur. A few patients may present with acute edematous balanitis. The foreskin is obviously edematous and accompanied by itching and small ulcers. Sometimes it may be accompanied by diabetes.
The dangers of glans peeling
