What should boys do if they have dull pain in the upper and lower chest? It should be judged based on the characteristics of the pain, frequency of onset, duration and progression of symptoms, and further auxiliary examinations should be done to confirm the diagnosis before formulating treatment methods. The tissues and organs that may be involved in the upper and lower chest include the heart, lungs, breasts, costal cartilage, etc.

1. Heart:

The more common one is coronary heart disease. Episodic chest pain is characteristic of coronary heart disease. The typical location of pain is behind the sternum. But the pain can also radiate to the upper and lower chest. The pain characteristics are typically excruciating, often accompanied by significant chest tightness and shortness of breath. Some patients have a sense of dying, which often prompts patients to immediately stop activities. Symptoms often have underlying causes, such as going up stairs, walking quickly, fatigue, overeating, cold, emotional agitation, etc. Symptoms can be aggravated by resting quietly. Other conditions such as myocarditis and pericarditis can also cause pain in the left chest.

2. Lungs:

Lung infections, spontaneous pneumothorax, pleurisy, lung cancer, etc. are more common. Spontaneous pneumothorax often presents with tearing pain at the initial onset. Lung cancer is persistent, intense pain. Pain caused by lung causes is often worsened by breathing in or coughing.

3. Breasts:

Breast cancer in men may cause chest pain. In the early stage of breast cancer, a painless hard lump can be palpated, and in the middle and later stages, some orange peel-like skin changes can be seen.

4. Others:

Costochondritis can cause chest pain, sometimes tenderness, but no swelling; The pain of herpes zoster spreads along the intercostal nerves on one side with severe pain, and the pain does not exceed the center line of the epidermis. If organic disease cannot be found after functional examination, cardiac neurosis needs to be considered.

When men have dull chest pain, if the symptoms and characteristics of the chest pain are suspicious of heart disease or lung disease, they need to go to the clinic immediately to avoid serious life-threatening situations. If the chest pain is suspected to be mastitis or chondritis, you can go to general surgery for treatment.
